Bestehn provides AI-generated German exam practice. Content is for preparation only and is not affiliated with ÖIF, ÖSD, Goethe-Institut, telc or BAMF.

Purchases & billing

Paid access is sold as one-time passes for a fixed period (e.g. 7, 30 or 90 days) and one-time exam-credit packs, processed via Stripe. There is NO subscription and NO automatic renewal: a pass simply expires at the end of its period and nothing is charged again. The start and end of your pass are shown in Settings. Prices include applicable VAT; you receive a payment confirmation by email.

After a pass expires

When a pass expires, paid features return to the free tier automatically. Your account, learning progress and past results remain saved — you can buy a new pass at any time to continue.

Right of withdrawal

EU consumers have a 14-day right of withdrawal. By starting to use the digital service immediately, you consent to begin before the period ends and acknowledge losing the withdrawal right for consumed content.

How to withdraw

To withdraw, send us a clear statement (for example by email to support@bestehn.com) before the period ends. Stating it in your own words is enough; the model form below is optional. We refund within 14 days using the same payment method, at no cost to you.

Acceptable use

Don't abuse, resell, or attempt to break the service. We may suspend accounts that violate these terms.

Liability

The service is provided “as is”. We don't guarantee you will pass any official exam.

AI systems

Exam material, the speaking examiner and all corrections are produced by AI systems. You are informed in the app whenever you interact with one. Assessments are practice estimates generated automatically — they are not official results, they carry no legal effect, and they do not decide access to anything. If you believe an assessment is wrong, write to us and a person will look at it.

Age

You must be at least 14 to create an account. Under 18, a purchase requires the consent of a parent or guardian; learners who reach us through a school or course provider are covered by that organisation's licence and buy nothing themselves.

Changes to these terms

We may change these terms for future purchases. A pass you already bought keeps the terms that applied when you bought it, for its whole window.

Governing law

Austrian law applies, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. This does not remove the protection of the mandatory law of your country of residence: as a consumer in the EU you may always bring a claim before the courts of your own domicile.

Contract language

The contract is concluded in German. Other languages are provided for your convenience; in case of contradiction the German version governs.
